Meet Dr. Teresa Volner
Dr. Teresa Volner has spent over 20 years helping individuals navigate Type 2 diabetes, weight struggles, chronic inflammation, and metabolic challenges.

Q: Is this testing relevant for both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes?
While this test is not diagnostic, the lifestyle, diet and supplement recommendations are relevant to both Type 1 and Type Diabetes management and can improve mental clarity, energy, and health.
Q: What kind of DNA test do you perform?
We use a cheek swab for the DNA test and a small hair sample for Oxidative Nutrition Testing. Both tests come to your door quickly. The results take 6-8 weeks but can come sooner.
Q: Can genetic testing predict diabetes?
Genetics/DNA tests tells us where your weaknesses and strengths are in your body. It tells what your body has always needed support on. It gives food, lifestyle, and supplement recommendations that will work for you.
Q: How accurate is at-home genetic testing?
Very accurate. Genetic/DNA testing is still new in application. It has been around for over 40 years, has been very expensive, and restricted to prescription. Now it is much more affordable and accessible to everyone over the age of 18 years.
Q: When will I get the test results?
DNA testing still is a long procedure. It takes seconds to collect cells from your cheek. It takes 6 to 8 weeks at the lab to process. It is worth the wait. You will get good answers.
Q: How will my DNA be protected?
Trusted medical professionals, like the ones we use, do not share your personal data. There are many regulations around protecting your personal information, including your own biodata. Your sample doesn’t have your name attached to it at the lab level. Only two people see your name connected to your test results: you and the doctor ordering the test.
